I dunno if i should put this here or in another section...but whatever.
I seem to have picked the wrong time to get interested in growing pot, what with ovegrow leaving and all. I'm looking for a detailed growing tutorial or tech. Any help would be much appriciated.
Cheers

Being that the net is getting kinda shady for such things, you should start by ordering a book or 2. Ed Rosenthal (i think that's how to spell it) has written some good manuals to help get you started... Current trends are aiming at vertical grows without light reflectors. That's how I grew for years, and it's worth looking into. Some call this Cage growing, or BOG's, or Colesiums.... etc. There's still a ton of info available on these systems. Holland had sites dedicated to this style, but I don't have the addys anymore.
Books probably your best bet.

earth water and sunlight that's all there is to it!
growing indoors is just the same only with artificial lighting and some ventilation for keeping the temp levels down!
what you want to learn is plant care... most of the guids out there are pretty lame or flat out wrong though most do infact contain some good info you just have to read it in the right context google and a little web serfing will yeald loads of information but really all you need to know is simple plant care not to water too much and not to fertelize it to death and if you're using artificial lighting make sure you use enough of it (as in not try to grow good pot with a couple of flourecent lights thinking that would be enough and on the other hand not using a 2000 watt light for a single plant...)

I remember seeing pics of a guy that was growing just 1 plant at a time in a ScrOG setup with a 1000w HPS.... it was kinda cool to see how much he was getting out of just 1 at a time. He took HUGE clones and had to veg them out a long long time, but they were monster plants at the harvest, with a stem as big around as my upper arm. Was a cool idea to keep #'s low and still pull a decent yeild.

tinfoil pots lights timer fan
$20 - $5000, depending what you want.
if you only have a sealed closet, those cold energy saving bulbs are a boon. lots of them = few watts, no heat, lots of light. yes, they're not ideal, but i've seen them work well.

$100 for a 250w HPS security light, which you pull the fixture from. $40 for decent AC fans (4" comp fans work) $15 for potting soil, blood and bone meal, and some dolomite lime. $30 for some decent 2-3 gallon pots with pans.
Add some seeds and take good care not to over fertilize the mix and you'll have weedage.
