Check Out My Casings *PICS*

hey all. here are some pics of the casings that i have going right now. i need a little help to identify if any of these have overlay.
this is how my FC looks right now. the RH is 95% -100%. is this ok? i have a cake in there so thats why its high. once that cake is done fruiting, im going to harvest it and throw it away so i can knock the RH down to 90%. (take out the perlite)
ok these might have overlay. im not sure though. any ideas anyone? it would very much be appreciated. the one on the right has been in the FC for about 5 days. the left one for about 4days. im starting to get worried because they arent pinning. well i guess scratch and patch wont be too bad but... i dont wanna.
these casings are looking ok. should be pinning sometime soon. from left to right, the strains are, amazon, mexican, and mexican
now here is a shot of the casing that im worried about most. it looks like overlay but i think i see small knots forming. i dont know if i should go ahead and scratch and patch or just let it keep going. i introduced the 3 factors of pinning (maybe not temp so much) but it gets light and i fann about 4 or 5 times a day. can someone help me on what to do? thanks alot
those are my casings. this is actually my first time succeeding in casings in regards to contaminants. last time i was attacked by the green monster.
if anyone can tell me about my overlay problems, please do so. and next time i'll try better. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!! PEACE

No, you're fine. That last one could turn into overlay, but it'll fruit just fine. How long have they been in the fruiting chamber?
And try to use thumbnails in future posts... the huge pics make the thread hard to follow.

I would drop the humidity. Which do you care about more, one cake or all of your casings

thanks for the fast replies.
the last one has been in the FC for about 5 days. i've read that pins start to form about a week after the surface has colonized. so i'll just wait it out.
sorry about the huge pics. i just copy and pasted the UBB code. the pics appear huge in my gallery too... i dunno why.
im going to keep the humidity up while the cake is in there. thats going to be for a few more days. then when the cake is ready to harvest, the FC will be held at casing parameters
well, im relieved to hear that the last one isnt overlay. but i'll keep watch on it so it doesnt. HAHA... can't wait for pins. thanks all.

raise your temps by 10 degrees.

Don't casings need to be covered by some sort of plastic wrap? what about contamination. I guess I'm just a noob.

no they dont have to be covered you can cover casing 24-48 hours while incubating them but once they are ready for the fc theres no need for a saran cover or anything like that
IMO that would create a contam by keepin them covered they need an air supply
and pokin holes in the saran didnt work for me my first poo casin got taken over by green and grey mold

would it be a problem if i have a casing in the incubator for over a week? the mycelium hasnt popped through the casing layer yet in ANY spots so i kept it in there.
maybe its not really an incubator if its a blanket filled drawer that has a constant temp of 73degs.

drop the RH level. everything else looks good.
did you put them in the incubation chamber first?

Don't drop the RH thats absolutely not what you want to do now! You guys need to understand the basics of what pins like to develop in like coda said raise temps and keep that RH where it is thats optimum for pinsetting! Geesh!
-------------------- Getting the most out of your casings!, A pinning strategy. Oyster Shell "Flour" $2 for 1lb. a hell of a deal Not what is overlay but rather what overlay is Gas Exchange vs. FAE "We all have priorities. I used a closet once setup a nice little lab trouble was all the shit that was in there ended up in the bedroom that pissed off the GF then I ended up dumping her as she was getting in the way of my sterile culture technique! Ya I got priorities too!!!"
