Pinnings drying up

I have Maza and Mexi Pf double ended cakes at 70-75 degrees, in a aquarium with perlite. Humidity is 85-100%. The Maza is pinning very well from the verm layers, the Mexi has two pins. The pins are one to two inches, but look like they are shriveling up. The caps are dark with blueish traces, but after two days no growth. I added a little more verm and drops of distilled water to the tops this morning, but they look a little worse. Please help me!!!!!

Sounds like your cakes lack water...Cakes should be kept 95-100% constantly or they will dry and develope overlay. I injected my dry cakes yesterday with 10cc's of water. Today I have pins! The dunk tek works great too. If you want higher yields you should look into casing.

Thanks for the advice!! The double end Pf cakes were a experiment. Maza dose great with it, the mexi is ok. I'm casing some Maza with 50/50 and verm, the verm is showing better growth on the 10th day of both. Also tryed Thailand LY double ending with horriable results, 9 of 12 green mold on first(bottom) layer of verm. Remaining jars about 50% on day 11. Never stop learning, try new shit and see what happens!! Thank you again....

rastech, i reccomend looking into your substrate formula for answers...and remember you water shortage next time you mix the shroom food.
