This is really driving me mad now! For the last hour ive been fucking around with a Compaq Presario 5030 Desktop PC.... all i want to do is access the fucking bios so i can boot from the fucking floppy drive.....
There appears to be no such option though...WTF? Tried F1, F10, and DEL(not all at once)..at start(right after i turned it on)....well f10 is the only one that does anything...takes me to "COMPUTER SETUP".... the setup has NO options whatsoever....i wont take the time to list the few options it has(nothing relevant) but i assure you it is not any normal bios options i have ever delt with.....and not a one of them is boot sequence!! FUCK!
Is it possible to not have a normal bios??? Am i missing something here?
YES i have googled.......

did you try f12, i know compaq uses that sometimes together with f10, allthough f10 is standard way for a compaq to access bios-

Dude, try just tapping ESC on the keyboard while booting up, it should bring up the Boot Menu where you should be able to pick FLOPPY from.

Most compaq bios can be reached via F2 immediately after powerup. If F2 doesn't work, then try the other function keys, usually F10 next.

You may have difficulty accessing the BIOS Setup utility screen, because you must press a specific key (usually F1) very quickly before the Windows screen appears. If you do not enter the BIOS Setup screen on your first try, repeat the following steps until you are successful.
To open the BIOS Setup screen:
1. Turn off the PC and wait about 5 seconds. 2. Turn on the PC. 3. When the first screen appears, press the F1 key on the keyboard. (You can press the key more than once.) The BIOS Setup Utility Main menu appears. NOTE: On certain Compaq Presario PCs (prior to 2002) press the F10 key at the logo screen to enter setup. 4. Use the keyboard to navigate through the menus.

Yea, i found that too....
The thing is, yes, the F10 key does sort of work....but not in the way i would think...
F10 is the only key that does anything...it brings you to a "Computer Setup"..... from there the only options are boot password and some other things(none of which seem like normal BIOS options)......
Boot-up order or other options are simply not there.....
When i get home tonight i will list every option they give...maybe im missing something....but i dont see what
ive refurbished many windows comps for people and had to access many different BIOS....never seen this before
