What Should I Do?

Well, Im in another predicimate because of the 24 jars I grew, I think only five jars (2 1/2 to 3 quarts) of WBS survived Oh well. Is there a double tub tek that supports this little bit of colonized WBS? If not, what is an easy tek that is almost all self automated? I was thinking I could go to Walmart and get 2 small tubs and just do everything the double tub tek says (except put less substrate in and make smaller holes on the tubs) Is this correct, or am I going in the wrong direction?
Thanks again in advance

^^I'd say you're going in the right direction, sounds fine to me...

This following bit is a reply I gave someone else not too long ago. You can just adapt it to figure out how much bulk substrate you can use for your double/mono tub.
Quote:
I said: The guys at tennstud say that 5 lbs of poo is enough to fill a 12x12x4in container, and some quick math tells us that's 576 cubic inches. A full quart is 57.75 ci, so a full quart of spawn is almost exactly 1/10th of 5 lbs, meaning you need two full quarts of spawn to have the desired 1:5 ratio in 5 lbs of poo. There are 2 pints in a quart, so 4 half pints per quart, and 8 half pints per two quarts.

Maybe Im not getting this exactly but if I got the 12x12x4in container, wouldn't that leave no room for the casing layer? If it does, how much substrate(inches) should I have?(Assuming Im going to have a 1/2 inch casing layer) Thanks for the help

Why not take what you have colonized and then do a G2G transfer to some new jars? G2G's colonize pretty fast, in my experience, so if you have a week or 2 to spare, then I would go for it.

In that tek, you may want to swap Lysol for bleach water, as exposure to petroleum products can cause the myc to mutate and can also result in shitty pinsets.

Lysol isn't necessarily bad, as it does work rather effectively as a disinfectant. It's just that like I said, it being petroleum based can fuck with your fruits a bit, and possibly even your mycelium. There's nothing wrong with mutants, but when it effects your mycelial network, then it starts effecting your yeild. Or so I've heard.
