Mid-flush dunking?

Is it possible to partially submerge a casing that already has shrooms on it, for the sole purpose of rehydrating it mid-flush?
Take my casing for example.

This casing looks extremely dehydrated. It's been a little over 2 weeks since I first cased these. They are Equador grown on WBS with a 10% coir, 90% vermiculite casing layer.
I am worried that these guys won't grow to full maturity seeing as though some of the caps are turning dark and I can't notice much growth from day to day.
Is it possible to use the same container, pour distilled water in it making sure when I place the lid and a spacer to hold the casing down, that the water level is about 1/2 inch from the top of the casing. I don't want to injure my crop but I want it to finish.
Any ideas, suggestions, let me know.

Have you been misting everyday? You can also inject water into the casings. Light mistings several times a day=Beneficial

I thought you couldn't mist when there were pins or mushrooms.
I just tried to inject water into the casing layer and it only caused the water to bubble out and spill onto the casing. I injected water down the sides, about 10ccs into each casing and hopefully it will absorb it.

You can mist when there are pins or mushrooms - it's just not recommended because if too much water collects on the cap it will start to rot and thus ruin your shroom and possibly others around it.
Just mist below the caps and spray the casing only. You'd be surprised how much water your casing can hold. You can drench the hell out of it, wait about five minutes, then take it over to the sink and tip it so that any water that didn't saturate into the casing will drain. Clean the area where the water drained off with alcohol and place back in fruiting chamber.

The only time you don't want to mist is during the setting of your pins after that keep that casing surface misted until it just glistens at least twice a day. Read my pinning strategy it explains it all in detail. Also you can mist everything including the pins just make sure you have plenty of fresh air exchange, those caps will dry off quickly just make sure it's a very fine mist your using for best results. When injecting casings you need to inject very slowly only a few cc's in many areas. GL
