These first few were taken today, with Lucy showing off her new collar that CherryBom made! Thank you Bom, she loves it

this is Lucy's 1st shower a few weeks ago
 She loves water
 Drying off

Some random ones...
her and her Daddy
Working at getting the peanut butter out of her kong
 Running down the tennis courts
suffer mad that I caught him wearing a purple poncho
 wearing a bandana

cuddling with her Squeaky!
 zzzzz
Cuddling with Daddy when we got home from Canada last night

Thanks for looking

What breed is it? Looks like it could be a labrador.

Yes, she's a pure bred English Yellow Lab...she's a great companion, and loves everyone
I would recommend the breed to anyone who wants a loyal friend

My parents used to have two yellow labs. They were brother and sister. And they were absolutely huge! You could only play with one at a time or you'd lose. Yellow labs are excellent dogs.

Thank you and yes, yellow lab.
I think we might get anotehr one from the same breeder some time in the not-too-distant future. She loves other dogs and it would be awesome for her to have a buddy to play with
While we were in Canada this past weekend, she stayed with my boyfriends sister and brother in law who have a dog. While she was thrilled to see us when we came back, and was whining and looking around frantically for the other dog, you could tell she missed it.
That, and, I'll admit I want an excuse to get another puppy

How big did they wind up getting?
She'll was born 7/24/05, so she's almost 7 months now, and she's 38 pounds...I think she'll end up being about 65-70 or so? Maybe more?
Her paws are pretty large...she loves to be held and it's starting to get difficult for us to carry her as much as we used to

Hehe. As soon as I see that dog I know 100% it's a yellow lab. And when some people in this thread sort of wondered what breed it is.... my first thought is "YELLOW LAB YOU FKING MORONS" but then I remembered that not everyone has grown up with labradors their entire lives :-)
Gorgeous dog! Here's my yellow lab (he's around, oh, 5 or 6. The most intelligent dog I've ever met/owned)

I'm really not sure how they got so big. And they weren't unhealthy at all either. The vet infact told us numerous times he'd never seen labs that big. The boy dog, Sam Adams (my bro named him ) was pushing 90-95. Kaylee, the girl dog was 75-80. Yet they always got clean bills of health. They were also pure bread AKC and all that.
Sam Adams would jump up on you and if you were not prepared for it, you'd go down. We pissed many a visitors off cuz of that. But all they could really do was laugh, cuz he was a tank filled with joy. I grew up my entire life around puppies and dogs. My parents actually bred AKC Collies so I was always around dogs. But I haven't had a dog since I moved out in '01. I miss them a lot. I miss coming home to nothing but excitement.

Those pictures are awesome, thank you for sharing!! I love how smart Labs are, she was so easy to train...she's like 1 walking stomach, so put a piece of food in front of her and she'll do whatever you want

Wow, those were really big dogs!! She's starting to like jumping up on people to say hi, we're trying to discourage it right away, but she just gets so excited and wants to greet everyone and lick them. That's another thing about her, she is a compulsive licker. She sleeps with us and will randomly start bathing our faces, and we end up inevitably covered in doyy saliva

We were at the gathering, but we don't live in Canada, we live down in Boston Massachusetts
The tennis courts come in very handy, they're right behind our house and they're a great place to safely let her off the leash to let her run around for some exercise.
And Robot, anytime you want to see pictures of Lucy, you know I'm more than happy to oblige
I'm like a compulsive mother, constantly taking pictures of her. If I had a dollar for every picture we have of her sleeping, I'd be one happy Jew!

Oh, labs are so smart they know EXACTLY what they need to get treats and do what they have to to get it :-)
My lab got to the point where when I would pull out a treat he would do ALL his tricks (sit, throw his paw at me, lay down, and roll over) before I even said one command. He knew no matter what I said I had to give it to him!
Enjoy your the lab now, they change a LOT when they get older, become much more mature as you probably know, my favorite thing to do with mine when he was little is sit him in my lap and pet him till we'd both fall asleep.
Does she chew much? Labs are NOTORIOUS for chewing and digging, we had extreme problems with both, I think he may have been in poor conditions as a puppy and did these habits as a response to stress when he was younger.
And as I'm sure you know, labs LOVE TO PLAY. Wrestling and fetch, especially fetch in the water :-)

When we first got her, we had her in her crate for like 2 hours while we were out one day, and came home to her acting all lethargic and sluggish. She was opping a TON more than normal too and we couldn't figure out why until we discovered the large ziplock bag in her crate with a hole chewed through the bottom.
There was a huge bag stuffed with treats on top of her crate that she managed to stand up an pull through the bars, and ate EVERY treat inside. Now we know better than to leave anything edible within reach
She doesn't chew much, but she has a definite oral fixation...she loves to walk around with stuff in her mouth, mostly socks or one of her toys, but she doesn't really chew anything but rawhide. Just sort of carrier things around with her. And she loves tennis balls and fetch! We have a few ponds/streams in our woods, and we've let her jump in once so far (they're been frozen). She loves water and once the weather is nicer we'll take her swimming more often. I've never seen her dig at all actually. *crosses fingers*
She knows how to sit, speak, roll over, high five, shake, double shake (both paws), stand up, lay down, stay, "bang bang" (where she rolls over and plays dead), leave it, and we're trying to teach her to commando crawl and introduce herself (shake and speak at the same time)
