Money, Investing, and my future
    #5320069 - 02/20/06 02:00 PM (17 years, 11 months ago)

Anyone on here actually invest money beyond a savings account?

Wheres a good starting point online to learn about this sort of thing?

Ive been getting interesting in trading commodities(precious metals)....but not sure if this is a good start point.....

The amount of information turned up on a couple google searches is very overwhelming

:laugh:ives into google:

Agreed.....

Where im at now: just got all old school debt paid, along with all but one credit card.
Since i am self employed an IRA is very fucking imperative  Looking into a Roth IRA so that I can take from it fee-free for a first home purchase later down the road(hopefully not too far down the road though:) )........

I figure at im at a once in a lifetime stage here.....very little bills, no rent for the next 6 months (thanks Mom!), and no real debt to speak of..... so i hope to make the most of it

best thing to do (besides choice real estate) is an IRA to start, plow as much as you can into it until your at least 30...you need to take advantage of compound interest
