Help with Nymphaea Caerulea and Nelumbo Nucifera
    #5319544 - 02/20/06 11:14 AM (17 years, 11 months ago)

I recently ordered Blue Lotus Stamens (Nelumbo Nucifera) - 1oz, Blue Lotus Petals (Nelumbo Nucifera) - 1oz, and Blue Lily Flowers (Nymphaea Caerulea) 1/2oz.

I am unsure on extraction methods and best consumption methods. Along with the proper dosage in each method. Is there anyone who can help, or possibly point me in the right direction, i have searched the forum plenty of times however I am still dissatisfied with the results.

you can extractit with ethanol. stemes seems to be more potent than flowers (for some reason, thre is a thread about this subject going on at shaman australis) and it has been so in my experience as well.

no, the thread i talked about was not about extraction process but about potency in stemens.

but its nothing fancy you need to do it

you can use vodka or you can use 180 proof or stronger. I suggest 180 proof, the higher proof = less water = easier reduction of volume. after soaking the stemens and flowers in ethanol, /i usually leave extracts like these for a day or two and shakes well once in a while/ , when your done soaking it you can make a active charcoal filter and filter the ethanol than now will hold all the goodies. then you can evaporate off ethanol- You can also soak the lotus in wine directly but I suggest letting it sit for a much longer time. its quite possible to smoke the extract if you evaporate away all fluids also. The effects are mild and "dope-like" and its nice for a nice summer day outdoors together with friends.

whats the best way to evaporate the ethanol.
What indicates what X it is like 10x, that would be how much grams of flowers i put in vs how much extract i get?
Forgive me. I am new to the process.

hell you can soak it in wine or just smoke it in a fat blunt with some amanitas and you will be feeling real good and maybe drink a beer or glass of whiskey

I would advise against mixing your lotus extract or raw plant material with amanita in a blunt.Do not take the previous posters advise.
