Hey guys, im new here. I have just got 3 spore syringes from captainmaxmushrrom - 2 B+'s and a treasure coast. Im usin the UK eqivelant of quart jars. I steamd and boiled the pot for an hour each and then left em for 24hrs before innoculation. Im doin the PFtek and i have a problem, its been 4 days and the B+ hasnt made a sign of colonization. I have a suspision that damp BRFhas cloded the glass a litlle and has prevented 100% clairty of the substrate - ie the glass is a little creamy. The treasure coast was don 2 days ago and the substrate already hads a thin layer of fine spikey hairs on it that seem to bee thickening up and joining together. Is that ok? Thanx for your help guys!

It sounds like your Treasure Coasts have germinated ok, I'm not sure what your problem is with the B+. Keep an eye on it and let me know if there are any changes in the next few days.

How many cc`s did you squirt in those quart jars? It`s 1 cc in a 1/2 pint jar, but with quarts you should have innoculated with 4cc`s.. 1 cc per hole in the jar. You`ll have much better luck using more spores with that size jar.Being that you are a beginner I`d try small jars at first. They colonize much faster and less chance of contamination

4 days is not too long. i have had jars or bags take 10+ days to show growth. it just depends on a lot of things. wait a few more days then worry!

No, you will not get a hybrid, I think that we all wish it was that easy. There are three things that may happen: 1. One strain will dominate the other. 2. The two strains will grow together and you'll have fruits from both strains. 3. You'll get a hybrid (rare, unlikely)

Do`nt mix strains in the same jar. They will just compete with each other ,slowing down both strains . No hybrids ....... impossible from what I`ve read. You should get some sort of noble prize for science if you do
