they dont dry weell

i have the biggest flush i ever had so i dry them in front of a fan 2 days, and then i put them with silice gel, the thing is that like there was much mush, the silice dont absorb all humidity, and now 2 days after half of the mush are black, and sticky i think they root,
now im drying in the sun and then i put them again in silice.
can i eat the blacks ones, or its dangerous,
i dont want to trow all this beautis.

I don`t think they will hurt you....... but they probably lost some potency from drying to slow. This is what I do with large amounts in my drying chamber. Slice them in half lengthwise... or even in 4ths with a razor blade. Thy entire harvest will dry much faster under the fan and also in the chamber.Faster the better . Less bluing or turning black and less loss of potency.They should only have slight bluing on the stems when cracker dry. I put them under a fan for 24 hours and then in my dri-rite chamber.Usually crackr dry in 2 more days. So slice those babies open and try that :cool:

Another possibility is putting them in the oven rack with the oven on low and the shelf pulled out. Leave the door open and place a fan to blow accross them. They will dry in a matter of hours from the warm air. Last time I did this and kept a thermometer right behind them. The temp stayed between 100-105. The potency still rocked.

good ole peetey puts his wrapped in a paper towel, ontop of his computer monitor. usually dry as a bone in 1.5 days
