93 degress too hot for colonizing substrate?

Hi guys, I just went to check on the incubator where I have some substrate colonizing, and the heater said 93!!!! I don't know how I moved it but it must have been like that for 2 days. Is mycelium death at hand?

It probably isn't happy, but it'll survive - do your best to stabilize the temp from 82-84.

The internal temp of the substrate is higher than the ambient temps. All you can do is wait and see.

The literature says thermal death occurs at 106. It possibly could have reached that temp internally. Like Foo said all you can do is wait.

Damn I woke up this morning and my incubator was also at 93f. Pissed em right off. I got a remote temp sensor inside so now I am carying my lcd screen watching it by the minute. Good luck with it bro.

Here's a pic I just took. It's been 6 days since I mixed the spawn in.
 What do you guys think?
{EDIT} another pic

One of these days everyone will throw away their incubators and end these war stories. Just let them colonize at room temperature guys. It will work fine. They might colonize a bit faster at 80 than at 70, but 70 still works just fine for bulk substrates with FAR fewer problems. At 80 degrees air temperature, my probe shows 87F in the center of the manure during colonization. Running high temperatures is only asking for thermophilic bacteria and molds to activate and ruin your project. Lower temperatures favor mushroom mycelium, higher temperatures favor contaminants. Period. RR

Hmm. It all makes sense now. I had incubated 4 jars 2 weeks ago and when I came back from a 4 day trip they all appeared to be heading toward the grey mold side. They've been sitting in the dark at room temperature ever since and the mycelium seems to be thriving. It actually appeared as if it overtook the grey mold. I just shook them at about 30%, I'll post pics when they fully colonize.
Thanks for the help everyone. I guess I've learned my lesson with substrates & incubators.

I agree with R/R.
I incubate bulk substrates at room temps, which average 68 to 72F.
Trays generate about 10 F degree's of heat, all by themselves.
Higher than about 84F internal temps, & you flirt with DISASTER.
DISASTER BEING, fermentation, bacterial bloom or molds setting in.
