favorite psy song(s), and why

Im interested in why.
one of mine these days is "Derango-Fnatt" http://s54.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1IW47MO0PLERM3RP4IA0DQGLP0
I love the intro. It comes in with watery noises that seem far away. A flat kick works in along with a weak bassline... But then WAM, a deep dark bass fills the entire song as it creates the perfect backdrop for the hundreds of sounds that are about to be throw at you. I also love when the bassline changes near the end, exelence.

I just started listening to Shpongle today, very interesting. I like "Divine Moment of Truth"; its gives me the feeling of being on a journy almost.
I have to listen to some more songs. Anyone have any recommendations? (Not intending to steal this thread, ha)
This Derango song is alright, fast paced, to synthetic sounding imo tho

Infected mushroom - Bust a move somehow this track really does it for me
Hmm, that derango track... must be crazy when tripping with headphones with all those crazy sounds But I like my psy better when it's a little more flowing. I listened to Cosmosis - Cosmology (album) yesterday and I like things like that more. gotta love those acid lines!

my favorite track these days is samadhi - namaste from russia
and an old classic I like: etnica - trip tonight
listen and understand why, covered with acid sounds throughout with a very calming classic guitar melody throughout the track. Killer!
stefan cosmology is one of my all time favorites. its an old goa trance classic. you should check out the song filteria - rotate to vibrate (swedish goa trance from 2006)

Check out the Capsula album. It is fuckin wicked!! Some of the craziest sounds since Shpongle. Lots of cool voice samples too.

Lately I've been shrooming out to "Mr. Bungle" records. Old "Butthole Surfer" albums are great as well. Ween's album "The Pod" is a shroom trip in audio. I could go on and on. Maybe I will get more descriptive later and elaborate further, but right now I am checking for movie times for Final Destination 3... Hope it's as good as 1 and 2. Peace.

This is one of my favorites right now. I love the distorted/crunchy basslines through out the song. Not to mention the great blending of melodys. I honestly just sit and zone out while listining to this song.

anything by King Crimson... some favorite songs of theirs include: eyes wide open, red, frame by frame, Groon, to name a few...
very cerebral, brooding grooves, usually pretty intense.
also, Ozric Tentacles songs always tend to take me somewhere far away... i'd recommend the albums Tantric Obstacles, Pyramidion, Strangitude (though i've got like 22 cds of theirs and they're all good when i'm fucked up)

Well, most Shroomerites know my favorite song is "Limelight" by Rush. Always was, always will be.
The lyrics have EVERYTHING to do with tripping (as many Rush lyrics do if you read between the lines).
The guitar solo near the end is tha absolute epidomy of the third eye gleaming and shining. Alex Lifeson's emotion shines through in that long winding note that he draws around corners and all the way through my soul.
Another favorite trip tune is the long version of "Time Has Come Today" by The Chambers Brothers.
It's pretty much the ultimate psychedelic journey. Here.
-------------------- ================================================
"Have some congratulatory drugs." - C. Montgomery Burns I'll probably always do drugs, so that just contributes to the addiction to The Shroomery... It's a vicious circle of bliss. TMâ„¢
