Casing PF Cakes

Ok I have 3 pf cakes colinizing but they seem to have all slowed down. 1 cake is almost 100% colinized but the other two are still growing just really slowly. So I flipped them over to force out the co2 but they still look like there growing slowly. So if I wanted to case them all now how could I go about washing off the brown rice that isnt colinized and would this increase the chance of contams? Also how much coir and verm would I use to case this I know its a 60/40 ratio but I need to know exactly how much ill need.

yes I know it would be better to just be patient but this is just a experiment and then Im moving on to poo. So would it be ok if I washed off the brown rice Id say the 2 that are going real slow are about 50-70% colinized but its been this way for about a week with barely any new growth so I just figure I might aswell case it because it looks like its gonna take forever if ever at all.

Your more than welcome to try and see, and please post your results. I would be more than careful with the contam hazard. as far as washing off the BRF personally i wouldnt i would just case it all and hope it grows b4 it contams because i would probably contam it by trying to get all the uncolonized BRF off

i think it would be dumb to wash off uncolonized piece ofthe cakes . just chill out dude other wise you will most likely get duds. 100 percent equals close to 100 percent success

I had a cake doing the same thing. I took it out, scrapped off the extra BRF and verm, dunked under water and did some more scrapping and it was fine. So yes, it should work.
