Ok then, never grown before, I'm collecing materials and the anticipation is building. I'm wanting to use the Alien Substrate Formula, since I haven't seen any other documentation claiming to be an all-around best for cubensis. Thing is I'm having a little bit of trouble finding finch seed, I live in the Netherlands, Are there finches here?!? OK OK I'm sure I can find some wild bird seed, but doesn't it matter which seeds are in the mix? and to what ratio? I've read about staying away from the gooy sunflower seeds, vitamins, and preservatives. If anyone has any info about what 2 look for in birdseed, I'd love to hear it, I want my babies to grow healthy and 'Strong'! can't wait, I's going to go check out mushmush 2day in A'dam, and get some spores, umh Kan I get's anibod-e anytang whyle I's thare!

if the birdseed has alot of white millet, its probably good. when you steep it, spoon out the sunflower seeds, they float.

Fich food has a variety of seeds in it at different ratios depending on the brand. Millet is usually the main ingredient. You may be able to find millet for people if you can't find it in birdseed. Sunflower seeds are usually present in varying ratios as well. Red Milo is somewhat common. It is a red seed about the size shape and color of a bb. Some brands are almost 50% milo, but most aren't that strong on the milo. Thistle seed is also found sometimes, and is a great additive if it's not in there already.
In fact, a mixture of 4/1 by volume millet/thistle makes a great spawn. The number of individual grains givves it an amazing number of innoculation points, letting a little spawn innoculate a lot of bulk sub.

I just looked at my profile and realized I had a website at one point in time on geocities, it's not there anymore and I have no idea what I had on it. Anybody remember my website from several years aga? PM if so please.

Oh yeah, also meant to mention that it doesn't really matter. On a weight per weight basis, grains are pretty comparable. So just use whatever you can get your hands on.
