hidyho folks i need answers to my last minute casing questions, being the anxious rookie et al... i beseech y'all::: will my plastic bag melt in the pressure cooker if it touches the water? i have a really small... pressure cooker... sigh. and the oven just broke (today) and my heat lamp broke yesterday.. i presume jesus to hate me, but i really wouldnt know... can any of you give me sterilization tips involving a small pressure cooker? and are casings more effective when divided into smaller sections? (i have a large tray cut to my 15-gal aqu.) does my casing tray really need to be sterile? can anyone tell me the proper place of h2o2 in the casing environment? ...thanks in advance! ..!@g0

plastic bag could make it if you put foil around the bag like 2 layers i did it b4.. just take all the air out, cause its gonna expand like a ballooon

the water won't melt it... just keep the plastic away from the sides and it'll be fine.
>are casings more effective when divided into smaller sections?
i would make two or three trays for your 15-gal aquarium, so that in case one gets contaminated, you still have another couple chances at success. also, if you're lacking space in the aquarium, consider a rubermaid container found at any *-Mart store. perlite humidification works well too.
>does my casing tray really need to be sterile?
if you're using a verm only casing, you can get away with using it straight out of the bag. 50/50's and most other casings that have any nutritive substances in them should be sterilized. if you're talking about the tray specifically - just wipe it with a cloth soaked in isopropyl alcohol.

i wouldn't use h2o2 on your casings directly, unless you're trying to fight off some new contam (and you would dilute the h2o2 if you were trying this). when using perlite humidification on the bottom of your terrarium, put a fair amount of h2o2 mixed in with the water that soaks the perlite just to fight off possible contams developing in the perlite.
good luck!
