bluing inside rye jar too much shaking?

it seems that my rye jar has soom bluing inside i think i might be because i shook it to hard one day or is it contaminated if not should i let it grow and see if it repairs itself. Thanks

It's common for some strains to bruise blue after shaking the jar. It usually goes away after a few days. By the way, you only need to shake a rye jar once at about 20 to 30 percent colonization. RR

Ok for the newbies you still want to shake, rattle and roll the shit immediately after inoculating then as RR said again at 20-30% and if in doubt at full colonization that a jar may be contamed then shake again if it doesn't recover then toss it. And of course you'll need to shake it to break it up in the end before using it as spawn or laying it out in a tray for a casing. Note this is for the newbies only as the rest of you already know this. Right?
