I am reading The Treastie of Human Nature by David Hume and The Interpretation of Dreams by Sigmund Freud. I really like these books as they help me understand reality and dreams. So what books do you like to read?

I never cared much for Hume, but I did read some of Freud's 'Interpretations.' I have read a number of Freud's works, some of which figure in my dissertation about the anal-genital psychic center.
Currently I am reading The Jesus Mysteries by Freke & Gandy (Excellent!), The Confessions of Aleister Crowley (what a jerk he was to women, animals, Jews, Blacks and most everyone!), Moses and Akhenaton: The Secret History of Egypt at the Time of the Exodus (the author makes a case for identifying both men as the same person! He refers to Freud's 'Moses and Monotheism' in which Freud believed Moses to be an Egyptian as well). Last night, late, while the Melatonin kicked in, I pulled an unfinished The Golden Chain: An Anthology of Pythagorean and Platonic Philosophy from a shelf, and read 'Iamblichus - On the Mysteries of the Egyptians,' which just so happens to relate to Freke's & Gandy's book.

"The Meditations of Marcus Aurelies(sp?)" yea its the old guy from gladiator. He was a very intelligent man, who knew the nature of Goodness.
I'm really not sure which writing it is but there is a Plato transcript(thats what plato did, he copied down Socrates random arguments with people.) thats known as the "the allegory of the cave" If anyoen knows where it is exactly(Plato wrote ALOT) then please tell, I read it in HS and have been trying to find it in my complete writings book but no luck so far.

That particular passage is one of the most famous. It is known as "The Myth of the Cave", from Plato's Republic
