Whats wrong with my Rice Cakes

I put my fully colonized rice cakes into the terrium 24 hours ago, and now they are a little fuzzy, Is this normal?

As long as they're still white. It's perfectly normal for the cakes to get "fluffy" before they pin.

thanks, im also seeing a blueing reaction on some areas of my cakes, is this normal too?

Yeah, it's normal too. You can see some normal blueing in these pics of colonized jars. Everything sounds good with your cakes.

like he said these things are normal, the fuziness is just rhizomorphic mycelium, the blueing is just bruising on the cake where it was touched against something.
