I enjoyed the Ace Ventura movies when i was tripping, but not when the visuals are really intense. This new movie "waking life" is catching my curiousity but still havent seen enough about it.

I just watched that OUTKAST Bombs over Bagdad video! It was freaking amazing! Those guys are the coolest fucking rappers. I had no idea how cool they were. I heard that they played a rave in Austin and I was wondering "why would they do a rave?" - now I know. Bad ass trip shit MentalHygene - good call.

Hey Le Grouper, are you sure Terry Gilliam was a heavy lsd-user. I've read an interview in which he claims that he never did acid, only pot and nitrous a couple of times.

Heavy Metal. Anybody who hasn't seen this, get yourself I psychadelic and see it. If you do not know what it is about don't find out. Just watch it for the first time tripping. My friend saw it his first time on DXM and he said it was one of the most phenominal experiences of his life. I must agree with him.

I just gotta say all you fucks how said stupid shit like, "Fear and Loathing is utter crap sober" or "I didn't get Fear and Loathing until I saw it tripping" are fucking morons! You obviously missed how great this story really is. You probably still don't understand what its really about and just think you know because you watched it tripping. You fucks are the same lame-wads that say The Wall doesn't make sense unless you are tripping. I put a curse on all of you. YOU SUCK! READ THE BOOK!

Normally i can't sit down and watch movies while tripping, I have a problem with paying attention during them, those that I have seen while tripping though are "Rammstein: Live Aus Berlin" and "Fantasia 2000". All i have to say is Fantasia 2000 was great, i watched it once with the music on the video and once with a whole lot of ambient techno going in the background, great both times, the scene with the whales flying was awesome. With Live Aus Berlin it was pretty cool, I actually forgot that they were singing in German after a while, it got boring though and i stopped watching.

I have a real thing for japanese stuff and since you guys mentioned Tetsuo, I have to say that the movie to watch would be Akira. It was just rereleased on DVD in the states and the animation is amazing. The movie is a bit intense, but definately an awesome movie. My fascination with japanese stuff while tripping probably has something to do with living there for six months and legal mushrooms. Still no movie compares to walking around downtown tokyo tripping balls. Everyone should try it sometime! -Coz

oh yeah, i meant to mention that the title of the movie Tetsuo is in reference to one of the main characters in Akira--Tetsuo. Oh, another good one that you guys should check out that would blow your mind is Akira Kurosawa's Dodes'ka Den. It's a crazy movie. I have never seen it tripping, but thought I was tripping while watching it. Tampopo would be another good one too. Took a japanese cinema class last semester so I am all about it right now. -Coz

Well, I don't know how I forgot about it before, but go get Akira Kurosawa's Dreams. It's a series of 8 little vignettes in Japanese that deal with a variety of things, they're absolutely gorgeous. The kind of thing you could watch with no sound while sober, just that beautiful. And Bjork's "All is Full of Love" video is cool as hell too...the robots look like actual living cyborgs rather than retarded low budget sci-fi props.

A friend told me about this movie Baraka that he saw on shrooms. He said it was an amazing must see, here's a description. Ron Frickes visual masterpiece, released in 1992, 93 minutes. An incredible journey through 6 continents, 24 countries. Baraka is an ancient Sufi word, which can be translated as "a blessing, or as the breath, or essence of life from which the evolutionary process unfolds." For many people Baraka is the definitive film in this style. Breathtaking shots from around the world show the beauty and destruction of nature and man. Coupled with an incredible soundtrack including on site recordings of The Monks Of The Dip Tse Chok Ling Monastery. Can't wait to check this out when I get some ca$h. Some guy's opinion. For me Baraka is the pinnacle of these films. The quality of the cinematography is outstanding. Shots flip from solitary Monks to crowded streets from great temples to images of war firing a hundred and one thoughts in your mind that you never complete. The film is not just about what you are seeing. It is also about how it is presented. Shots of monks will make you grab your backpack and head for Asia as soon as the film finishes, but you never make it as the shots of post war Kuwait and the refuse dumps of Calcatta remind you that us humans are far from perfect. more films like this

Here's a few good movies you should check out whether your tripping or not. 1. Wizard of Oz with Dark Side of the Moon 2. Alice in Wonderland with The Wall 3. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (read the book too!!!!) 4. Outside Out 5. What Dreams May Come 6. Requiem for a Dream (too intense for me, but makes good points) I also agree with Floydian "The Twighlight Zone" episodes and Rod Sterling in particular are awesome! P

Baraka is the guy in Mortal Kombat with the huge blades that come out of his wrists. The Streetfighter dude is Blanka. I think Streetfighter sucks.

The Howling 2 is my all time favorite trip movie . It really should only be seen on shrooms. I recommend any and everyone to check it out while shrooming at least once. Definatly worth the 2 dollar rental at the local video store.

I've seen Baraka. I would trip to that movie. That's saying a lot because I really don't trip to any other movie but Yellow Submarine and maybe Alice in Wonerland if i'm playing music behind it.
