Can someone tell my why every day I have to reboot my modem and router?  The lights stay lit and there is modem activity like normal, there is no warning from windows that i have limited connectivity. But a webpage wont load. I'm trying to seed some torrents here and the bastage thing keeps losing connection! I'm getting :crankey:

Why do you assume it is the modem/router and not windblows? Rather than rebooting the router, try unplugging the network cable and plug it back in... did winblows start working? If so, it is probably either the dhcp lease being lost and not renewed properly, or more likely, winsucks has put the network card to sleep.

Tell us how you really feel about Windows.

You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity. What one person receives without working for another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for that my dear friend is the beginning of the end of any nation. i just tried unpluging the cable coming out of the router to the pc when i got the limmited or no connectivity warning from the toolbar. that didnt help. i pulled the cable going into the router from the modem and that didnt work either. i had to reboot the router for it to work. what is causing that?

i had troubles with my wireless USR cutting my line off.

then i searched for it again, and it wasn't there.... give it 2 min. searched again, and whammo... 54mbs.

I don't see why it keeps doing this? but it's wifi... other than that my new netgear keeps bogging me down during xbox live games.
