It looks like those were the inoculation points, no? If you did everything sterile/no open air you should be fine. From these blurry pics I think I see some rhizo growth...give it a couple days and you'll know for sure.

hah yea its amazing, 7 megapixel cameras and i cant get the pics to come out good, i also realized after this might be in the wrong forum, regardless i wanted to introduce myself and my friends efforts,
and yes, those are the innoc points, i dont know what you mean no open air, it was a sterile environment but not in a glove box or something along those lines. the growth is on 3 of the inoculation points on 3 of the jars, one point isnt showing anything, theres also another 4 jars goin that were knocked up a little later on, no growth yet, but itll be a week for the ones in the pics tomorrow

cobweb is over done, too many times it's nothing. Give it some more time you will be a happy man.

Do you have a dry vermiculite layer in your jar? If so, that should prevent contamination from coming into your jars. However, it won't stop contamination if you inoculated in an unsterile environment.
I always leave my jars uncovered when I use the dry vermiculite layer and I do fine.

i cleaned the room and lysoled and basically did as much as i could in there, cleaned gthe surface, flame sterilized syringes as well as 91% isopropyl alcohol but i didnt do it in a glovebox or anything like that, no moving air i took the foil off but left the tape on, its hospital name is 3m Transpore surgical tape, hasnt seemed to inhibit growth at all yet

as Flippetdlongtime said if you have a layer of vermiculite, you don't need to cover with anything but the lid
