drying issues

So I had some mushrooms on top of a sideways fan to dry, and for a period of time the fan was turned off and the mushrooms began to turn a bluish-black (not normal bruising) and started to pass a really funky odor (rotten). So here's my question, Are slightly rotted mushrooms safe to consume if they are completely cracker dry despite the smell? Is there anybody who has eaten such a mushroom that can vouch for as to whether or not they will make one sick?

Considering they are unsafe, what would make it so it makes one sick? Is it bacteria, and if so would an extraction or soaking then evaporating in alcohol be able to save the little guys? I would non hesistantly toss them out, but considering the small size of the harvest I'm wondering if I can save these guys. I of course don't want to eat them and end up puking those mushrooms as well as any others and completely wasting everything.

I'm no expert, but unless you want a seriously uncomfortable trip, don't eat them. The best thing that could happen is you trip, the worst is you thinking you are going to die while tripping and vomiting for 4 hours. An extraction probably won't do much good, as the bad stuff could be extracted as well.
