At what point will the percentage of Honey to Water become toxic to spores? 5% is the maximum correct? Is there any documentation on this or is this anecdotal? I'm looking for some documentation if it's out there.

Don't know about honey, but I tried one cup or Karo's corn syrup with two cups of water. Turned out great, didn't even pc.

Wow that is completely against what a well respected member of this forum told me 6 weeks ago or so and I can't remember his name. Someone on another forum asked me to find some kind of background either anecdotal or in a tek or something backing this up and I had to admit I never tried to go over 5% just based upon what that person said.

BTW did you sterlize it in the microwave??

i pasteurized some starw and filled a 1/2 pint jar w/ the leftover straw water. diluted that 50/50 with tap water and put into 2 jars. added about a teaspoon of honey. microwave till it boiled. let sit in mic for 5 min. mic again until good steady boil. capped loosely with ball plastic lids. burnt my fingers; that shit's hot. stuck on basement floor to cool for 1 hour. scraped few spores from a print into jars via oven tek. 7 days later and theyre looking phat as hell w/ mycellium. first time trying it but it worked awesome.
