I was just at a convenient store and saw that they just got bails of straw and hay for $3.00. Is this a good deal? And Ive never used straw, will I have to do anything to it (such as aging)
Lol its the only store Ive seen where you can get blunt wraps, smokes, beer, buck grunt calls, deer corn and straw all under one roof!!

That's a pretty good deal if you're in the city. I payed $5 at the craft store for a small amount of straw. I later found huge bales for like $3 out in the boonies. Next time I need straw, I'll get some from the farm lands for cheap.

I did not know there was a market for buck grunt calls.
I also don't know enough about straw but should learn.
The only thing that I can think of is you don't want the type that is waxy....I think, but hopefully someone will drop in

3 bucks is a good deal, I got mine for 5. Not much difference when you realize how much you're getting.
Straw is easy, you just cut it up and pasturize.
The bitch is the cutting. I use a paper cutter. Before that, I was trying all kinds of stuff and it was a lot of work. The cutter makes it tollerable, but there's still work involved. I can cut up a gallon of straw well in about 10 minutes. I go for 1-2 inch pieces.
If you want to do a lot, you can buy an electric shredder for under 250. That's down the road a bit for me. Though it would work good for poo as well as straw.
Edit: I haven't noticed more than 2-3 seeds in my bale so far, apparently there's some point in the process that strips the seeds out, but keep an eye out, you don't want the seeds in there to survive the pasturization. Also, I'd bet you have the right stuff, it's yellow, in a big bale, you're set. Some people have gotten ahold of alfalfa (probably from petsmart), it's green and should not be used in a grow.
