inoculating birdeed needle wont reach sides

Im doing the polyfill tek al la anno on fungifun.org.....when you inoculate through the polyfill, do you just squirt your spores the best you can on four sides, even if the drops dont run down the sides? then shake the mycelium later to distribute the the bottom seeds? Thanks

Actualy, I just did the birseed jars and what i did was tilt the jar so that the drops hit the side and ran down...so for you other people wondering the same, just tilt the jar and itll hit the side and drip down nicely

No need to make the solution hit the sides. All that does is allow you to see the very first signs of colonization, nothing more. I usually make a habit of innoculating in the center of the substrate. Takes longer to see growth, but when its fully colonized on the outside I know its fully colonized on the inside as well.

Squirt the spores wherever you want ( as long they land INSIDE the jar ), then shake the jar.

Yeah, I think I like this polyfill thing and the birdseed.....its my first time doing it this way but I feel pretty good about it. What casing do u all recomend?
