no growth at all

right, i'm using the PF tek, i inoculated the jar six days ago and i cannot see any fungus in there at all. i put in the correct amounts of everything and i'm not sure what's going wrong. the room temperature is about 18 celcius, is that too cold? am i just being impatient? if i prepare another jar, is there anything different i can do that might increase chances of growth?

Sometimes it can take a while before you see any mycelium growth. I am doing my first PF tek as well, it is now two weeks since I inoculated my jars, two of four are doing real well, one just has a small patch of mycelium and one doesn't show signs of anything yet. I am using a terrarium made of an aquarium and a heating pad as an incubator, maintaining @80-82 degrees fahrenheit. You may well not have an optimum temperature going? More experienced shroomers may have some better advice...

love, revbear

I think the problem is your temperature...18 C is way too cold. You want it around 27 degrees.
