I really mean it when I say I don't know how to get in touch with them. I have their parents' addressess, but not their phone numbers. It's really sad.

I've never tried lsd, but i can't imagine something similar to mushrooms for 12 hours. The last mushroom trip i had I laid down sobbing in my bed because it was all so beautiful. I could barely move. Then again, I've never tried mushrooms without smoking weed to trigger it. Are they a lot less intense without smoking?

I too enjoy the way weed "kicks my trip into gear" and multiplies the intensity. (Pot increases the intensity of whatever drug you're on.)
I'd say, yes, without weed they'd be less intense. That doesn't apply as strongly with LSD. I can trip very intensely and contededly on LSD without more than a sigle hit of weed at the very begining.
The only downfall to being high on pot when you're tripping on shrooms is that it makes your mind wander. That can be a good thing if you're not listening to music. But if you're making music the focus and drive of the trip, which I practically live for, it can be quite distracting unless you work on concentrating on the music and preventing your mind from wandering, which isn't too difficult. When you realize you've failed for the past few minutes and completely missed hearing your favorite song because you were "somewhere else", you can just play it again.

Weird. Everyone I trip with says it intensifies the effects greatly.

I just realized how funny this is. The chosen username and title would seem to indicate a positive experience with LSD, yet, he's never tried it.
Too fuuny.

Much Love to you my friend TM and Blissedout. It's good to hear from you guys.
Suimush- Isn't it great picking wild mushrooms!! Back many many years ago before the internet and everyone growing mushrooms me and some friends decided to go pick mushrooms in Florida between the summer and fall GD tours. We rented a house on Sanibel Island and scouted out patures in Ft. Myers and Naples. There was about 12 of us and we had more pastures to hunt then we could cover in a day. We hunted for a month and found very little. Then about a week and a half before we were to head North for some GD shows we went out one morniing and BAMM!! There were mushroooms everywere. Over the next week we picked about 25 dried pounds worth. Totally made the trip worthwhile. I'll never forget sitting on the beach with a head full of psilocybin and being totally humbled to the point of tears we had found this supreme psychedelic in nature and would soon be sharing it with the Grateful Dead community. We hit that tour and raged it with cheap mushrooms and lots of them. Good memories of long ago.
BTW Suimush- I love your posts in the hunting forum. Top Notch stuff!!! I don't hunt anymore, but your posts make me drool.

I know just what you mean. I must of crawled though all kinds of landscaping at different locals till i found my first Psilocybe.
Its a great memory, it turne out to be that new SF species that is being documented now.
Really the only name for it so far is an un-official Psilocybe CyanoFriscosa(Bay Area Repruzent ), a buddy of mine that i went to high school with dubbed them that.
Its kinda sad though, since the species wasnt completly on the books yet and i didnt have a camera i couldnt get a positive iD on them, i only harvested about an oz dry to get identified at a Myco fair at the Oakland museum. Another probobly pound dry died before i could get a definate ID.
Im kickin myself now though. I KNEW they were psilocybes, i should have just harvested them all and ID them but i let them die
Good thing is i still know where th patch is

If you think drugs are better than life you need to stop doing drugs. Think about it.
stop doing drugs for a while and see what life can offer you. Drugs are a nice addition to life once in a while though

I quit useing drugs three years ago. Life dosn't have much to offer except bills and hunger. At least with drugs you don't get hungery. I still smoke weed but thats barely a drug. I took some Prilosec Otc 20mg's today. One thing that I wish I could get a hold of a gain is a brick os opuim. opuim is a drug that wont get you down and you can always do. A good drug to work on.Lsd is like life on lsd can't get much better than that and if you can't see that then you must be blind.

I know for the first couple of hours it's going to be rough as my ego is ripped to pieces.
I feel you man, exactly the same when I'm tripping.
but it's all wordt it! and makes sure I don't trip often too. maybe I have the time in the long easter weekend to have a little journey
I find mushrooms to be the toughest of psychedelics I tried and the most amazing too at the same time. But I never had a good dose of acid yet..

It is COMPLETELY untrue that any LSD exists in the ergot plant. There is no diethylamine, none at all. There is indeed an interesting theory that the Salem witch trials were ergot related. But there is NO LSD in there, nor is LSD simply extracted and cleaned. Read up on the synthesis, if it were that simple, we'd have a lot more. The LSA in certain plant seeds comes much closer chemically to LSD. There is NO lsd in nature. It is synthetic.
According to Owsley Stanley- "Ergot contains many natural, highly psychedelic alkaloids. Iso-ergine is one of them, hydroxy-methyl-lysergamide is another, and in fact, is considered nearly identical to LSD in effect." Who knows, though.

Why do so many people justify a drug because it is "natural". I really don't see how being natural has anything to do with the safety or effects of the drug simply because it grows out in the wild. There is a lot of shit that is "natural" that will fuck your brain up and/or kill you. I do understand however that being able to pick a mushroom off the ground and eat it is cool where as acid has to be synthed. However, I feel LSD more than makes up for this.
