fluxing incub. temps 90?

whats up, had a quick question. its hard to keep my incubation temps at 81, and they are always fluxy especially throughout the night.
over here we have hot days and freezing cold ass nights.
so during the day my temps sometimes go above 85, never over 90, and during the night they get to the low 70s (sometimes).
ive rigged it a little bit better now, and its staying in the 80s for the most part, but the last couple of days it has hit 90-
is that a catastrophic temp, or is 90 ok for a little bit?(for a matter of minutes, sometimes an hour, but stays up there in the high 80s for a cool minute)
thanks for any help.

Insulation......the more heat that is trapped inside the less a heater has to work, then it's easier to get a even temp in the incu......

exposing your jars to high temps. increases the chances of your substrate drying out, plus it stresses the myc too. It's not so bad if its just an hr a day, but its not helping your case any.
What kind of incubator are you using?

I would get a sumergible water pump. This fixed my problems with this. still water can make hot spots and with my heater it would some times get stuck on. ever since I got the pump things have been a ok.
or you could buy this

thnx for the help guys.
yea i know about the TIT, if i had money i would set it up, def. is the best way to go. either that or an incubator from a myco. store.
right now i have them in a glass aquarium- good amount of insulation (clean clothing ) on the bottom, and good amount on the top of the inside of the aquar. and a good amount on the top of the outside of it. - as well as a small blanket around the whole thing to keep light out.
i have 2 heating pads, 1 directly under the aquar. and 1 ontop of all the insulation on the top - then i have the sensor in the middle of all the jars inside. - and the aquar. is sealed with a glass lid (not air tight or anyting)
its always good during the day- but at night shit gets crazy and it fluxes alot. im worried because last night it hit 96.
how would i go about rehydrating the jars. sterilized water, injected?
they have only been in the incub. for 4 days (good spread going on already too in most of them)

I don't recommend hydrating the jars unless its the last resort.
It is very easy to add too much water and to introduce contaminants.
I boiled water oh high sucked up some in a clean syringe.
and from there practice a sterile tek.
