Wsup PEopLE!!! Im' new to this and have a few questions for any 1 that is able to help. I started about 24 ThaiLand jars approximately 15 days ago. My 1st question is .... What to do with a cracked jar? (just 3 days ago one jar out of the batch vertically cracked out of nowhere) I sprayed the crack with Lysol and taped the crack with masking tape, it shows no signs of contam.....

2nd Question : Most of the jars are heavily condense with alot of dewwy dropplets. What does this mean? Where did i go wrong?

3rd Question : 3 jars out of 24 are showing growing really weak . Does this mean that i didn't inculate those jars evenly?

4th Questoion : The temp. that i have the jars stored away @ is 70degrees and i guesss they are doing fine. What temp. and humidity am i to birth the cakes?

Welcome to the Shroomery!

1) Be cautious of sharp edges. You might get contams, but keeping it is worth the experience.

2) Condensation on the insides of the jars is okay. If the condesation is builing up on the bottom of your jar there is too much moisture present, you may have added too much water when mixing your substrate.

3) I always get a small % of jars that do not grow as well. I have attributed this to uneven mixing of spores in my syringe. I think that the first few cc's of a syringe have less of a concentration than the last few.

4) Shroomism is correct, I would raise to 85 deg., it will make fruiting easier if your fruiting chamber is cooler than your incubator.
