Are Shrooms similar to DXM?

DXM is the only agent that I have lots of experience with as far as hallucinogenics. How are they similar, different, better or worse? Or am I comparing apples to vaginas?

There is no comparison to Psilocybe.
Similar: Can give euphoric feelings, and "visuals"
Different: DXM, from my experience, makes me feel like im retarded; i cant construct sentances very well/cant find the right words to use. Shrooms expand and alter my cognative and physical state, i feel it increases my imagination, i can think somewhat clearer. Sometimes habitual or just average things, like getting something to drink or eat will turn into an "event" rather than a simple task.
Mushrooms are far, in my opinion, better than DXM. They both have pros and cons, but DXM has more cons than pros, and psilocybe has more pros than cons

That's what I was looking for. Thanks. I have a love hate relationship with DXM. Anything less than a slight coma, to me, is not worth the trip.

the only thing that makes them similar is the term tripping. for me, i really dont like the cevs i get on shrooms, but i love them on dxm. its also much easier to meditate on dxm, shrooms i have some difficulty. so no, shrooms are nothing like dxm. dissociative does not = hallucinogen.

I use DXM for meditation purposes. I always use my digital voice recorder and get 3 good hours for third plateau ramblings and ideas. I have solved many soloutions related to life and work under the influence of dxm.

If you can get blasted on DXM, like fourth plateau blasted, and have a good time, a low to moderate dose of shrooms should be nothing you can't handle.
As far as effects go, they aren't even in the same class of drugs. They are nothing alike really.

NO.not at all.
-------------------- At times I get consumed by my everyday life and will leave the Shroomery. Yet, every time drugs come falling into my life for fun.....I always think about the Shroomery and then I'm back!

yeah. shrooms really dont seem to help me with life problems, but dxm on the other hand. but like the other post said, they arent the same class of drugs. you could compare dxm to k, both seperate mind and body. shrooms and dxm, nope.

DXM is like you got your brain pounded in by a 10 ton hammer. Mushrooms are like heaven. You pick.

Mushrooms can be hell...
I have a very strong feeling that you have deeply seeded unresolved issues. Don't take offense... trying to help you... You need to work those out before you try having any strong trips. You should work on some meditations and introspection.
Work with a Shaman could probably have your problems dealt with in a short period of time...
