Gibberellic acid on cacti

I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge/experience with using gibberellic acid on cactus seeds or already rooted cacti. Would it be bad to water my cacti with a solution of GA and water, or spray them with the same kind of solution? Would it have no effect at all? And as for propagating seeds with GA, does anyone know anything about using cactus seeds? I was wondering because GA is supposed to vastly increase growth rate, and since cacti grow so slowly, I thought it might be interesting to experiment. But I only have a few cacti right now, and I don't want to do anything that will negatively affect them, you know?

I thhink it would just cause stretching. GA doesn't cause plants to grow faster, it causes them to grow longer and not other places.

Any experience, though? I figured it wouldn't be a horrible idea to put some GA to use on a columnar cactus. Or.....here is an awkward idea....peyote. Not to get more cactus, of course. I assume mescaline content would go down in percentage, but stay the same for the cactus as a whole (get that? if a cactus regularly has 1 gram mescaline and it weighs a pound, if you used gibberellin and it weighed two pounds, it would still have 1 gram mescaline, making it be less potent. think I'm right?) I just want to see a tall peyote, even just a 1 foot peyote, all stretched out...that would be the shit. But yea, I am talking about any trichs here. So, anyone at all have any other ideas?

I really just thought it increased germination rates.
You can get a tall peyote by neglecting it and giving it shitty lighting. Someone posted a pic here... called it a christmas tree peyote.

That's what I have heard, that it increases germination rates. But I have heard on several different occasions about its use to make plants grow very tall and very fast. I have also seen pictures of plants involved in studies with GA where the plant that is left alone is a regular heigh, but a plant that has had GA applied grows to an amazing height and reletively rapidly. My problem? When I search for techniques on the use of GA, almost all results that are returned are about its use on seeds to increase germination, and I have yet to find information on applying it to a growing plant to stimulate growth. Also, I was wondering, as previously stated, if anyone had information on the results of its use on cacti. Information on either question(use on growing plants and use on cacti) would be very well appreciated. Thankyou for the links so far, however. I will definately keep that information filed away.
