It's been a really long time since I've posted here, so I had a few questions now that I've decided to possibly restart my hobby. For some reason, I can't seem to remember what strains I had success with. Does anyone have a suggestion as a good one to start with? I looked back at an old post of mine and saw I had some F+, but I didn't say if I had any luck or not.

? I think you're asking grow method. I used to use birdseed to spawn poo/straw, so I would probably do that again. Sorry, I don't remember what the abreviations mean anymore.

i used to SWEAR by Cambodians, i still love them. beautiful shrooms, easy trip. great producer.
the Hawk's eye is offering the Original PF strain (amazonian?) and i have a love/hate relationship with these... huge fatass shrooms and an astonishing amount if abhorts (due to prolific pinning)
Super Strain (thailand koh-samui super strain) is my staple lately, too many reasons to state.
B+ and Orissa Indias are fucking AWESOME but not from cakes - so they would be good for you.
i JUST started working with the Treasure Coast strain and they were the BEST syringes i ever got. they are making the BEST LC's (liquid culture) in my arsenal and i'm gonna have fun isolating the substrains (it throws off an Albino substrain and an Orange substrain)
Ecuadors are a safe bet, but i just started working with these as well.
All of the THAI strains are worth their weight in gold, IMO. i've done many solid runs with all of them (Thai Lipa Yai, Thai Koh-Samui, Thai Lamai Beach and Thai Super Strain)
i also JUST acquired 2 colonized PF jars of Golden Teacher from my partner-in-research (ha!) and i'll be isolating these as well. he said they took off and colonized faster than any strain he's worked with to date - and we started growing together.

my favourites were argentineans although i got a seperate print and every isolate sucked balls. I like the stable ones - and the mexicans - because they always look nice and dont tend to be too meaty to eat

the Super Strain is exactly that. if you've grown out all the other Thai strains you will see all the nuances and patterns.
the S.S. colonizes faster, pins better and more rapidly, fruits are a "happy medium" - you'll notice the Thai strains are either short and spongy or tall, thin and dense. the S.S. has big beautiful shrooms, and (mostly) has smaller, shorter and fairly dense shrooms.
they produce EXTREMELY WELL even from cakes. seem to get a few awesome flushes and 1-2 straggler flushes. i've even fogotten to check on S.S. cakes that i thought were done and ready to throw out, only to find some MONSTER shrooms that got so big they tipped the cakes over.
they are by far the best Thai strain to grow out if you dont wanna fuck with all of them. basically, they're like souped up Thai Koh Samui's.
