DO YOU THINK I GOT IT PASTEURIZED???

so i pasteurized h poo for the first time a couple nights ago. 2 loads - total of 5 dry lbs...
i went ahead and made my tubs, spawned, covered and are incubating. did everything to a T.
only thing i'm concerned about is whether or not i got the poo TOTALLY pasteurized. i used Agar's oven bag tek (the one where you put the bag in water - not the oven)
the poo didn't smell like anything when it was dry or while it was soaking. didn't smell when it was pasteurizing (but how could it inside double oven bags?) i let it sit overnight (sealed in the bags) and spawned in the morning. when i opened each bag i noticed the smell. it wasnt THAT pungent, but it WAS noticeable. more of an earthy smell rather than a poo smell (and i've cleaned MORE than my share of horse stallls!) sort of a faint poopy potting soil smell.
no piss or ammonia smell, i just wasnt sure if it should smell at all. my guess is the old hands are laughing at this point, as i say to myself... it IS still horse shit!!!
anyways...
comments appreciated.
i think on my next pasteurizing night i'm gonna use the pillowcase just to see the diference for myself.

Yah. I hate the smell of pasterizing poo. Earthy or not, its not the smell I want people to know my house by,lol. And damn does the smell linger. Thats why I do it in a cooler now. But, back to your question...your fine.

AAAAAAAHHH... sweet relief. like a beer in the morning (heh)
now that i know that smell is normal, i dunno that i will try the pillow case method.
also, i forgot to add that i let one of the loads go for 3 hours as opposed to 2. i noticed almost no (if ANY) difference in the smell between the two.
you should try the oven bags if the pillow cases do stink. i live in an apartment and i know i wouldnt want that smell to actually FILL the house. like i said, i didn't smell ANYTHING until i opened the oven bags up.

Na. I just do it in a cooler. No smell at all till I open it. Plus, Ive noticed that fresh poo has less smell than aged while pasteurizing.
