Removing CO2

My cakes are nearly ready for the terrarium and I'm planning on using perlite for the first time. The problem is I'm going on a trip for 10 days and I'm worried about humidity levels dropping and CO2 build up. Should I add more perlite so I can add more water? I have a tent-like setup for my terrarium and was thinking about adding a little room on each end of it. I was going to put a fan in one and let it blow through small holes in the plastic and out through the other room to keep contams out. Will this greatly affect the humidity and heat levels? If I just poke a few holes in the plastic will this remove enough CO2 without using the fan? Any feedback is appreciated.

if your living alone, id suggest throw them in the fridge to slow down the colonization.
