Dried Blue Meanies

Hi all,
After collecting a fair amount of fresh Blue Meanies and having a level 4 trip, I decided to dry the remainder I had for a future trip (that being 21 grams fresh). After 2-3 weeks of being stored away in a zip lock bag and in a dark place, I blended up the shrooms (~1.4 dried) with some juice and drank over a 10 minute period. After 40 minutes I didn't feel a thing whereas with the fresh shrooms that gave me my level 4 trip I felt the effects within 15-20 minutes.
My friend also did the same thing but with twice the dried amount I had and had no effects whatsoever. Can anybody tell me what went wrong? Were they not dried/stored properly? Do Blue Meanies usually still work well when dried? I'm really quite confused and any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

you should dry your shrooms using a dehydrator or a fan and some disseciant(spelling?)..if you left them in a ziploc before they dried they probably went bad and rotted on you..dry em cracker dry then vaccuum seal them ,and they will stay active for a long time

Real blue meanies or "blue meanie" cubensis?
-------------------- You're not like the others. You like the same things I do. Wax paper, boiled football leather... dog breath. We're not hitch-hiking anymore, we're riding!

Real Blue Meanies, as in Cop. Cyans. I thought I dried them pretty well, gave them a good 8-10 hours infront of a fan but I guess that wasn't enough. They smelled fine (I assumed rotten shrooms would've smelt really foul), basically the same smell as the fresh version. One thing though was that they were really black, although being Blue Meanies and so small in size (especially when they were dry) they could've been black looking because of all the blueing.
More idea's on why I felt nothing would be greatly appreciated.

Copes are known for there high Psilocin content which is very unstable even if dried properly....The dark deameanor means alot of it probably oxiedized or got destroyed in the process but even then, they shouldnt have been completely inactive. YOu want to be really delicate with Meanies...you dont want to see them bruise cause that means your losing psilocin. The only other things I can imagine happened is 1) the second half mostly consited of P. Antilarrums or other non-psychoactive strains you accidentally harvested. 2) the Shrooms spoiled/rotted thus rendering them inactive 3) they were improperly dried at a temp >100 degrees
