Growing reishi from spores or dried reishi powder?

Hi all, I was just wondering if any of you have grown reishi from spores, or even from the dried reishi mushroom powder? Are reishi spore prints easy to make and / or readily avaliable in North America? I'm heading that way soon and was hoping to get some to bring back and grow. Due to customs and whatnot I won't be able to bring back any live mycelium, but spores or dried reishi shouldn't be a problem.
Any tips much appreciated. Also if anyone has any reishi spores to spare or know of a supplier, please let me know, I have been wanting to cultivate this for years but have never been able to as spawn / spores / dried reishi are not avaliable here.

I've grown reishi from a clone of a fruitbody I found growing outside my lab. I may be able to take a spore print for you, but I have antlers, not conks, so they'll be a little different. I'll do my best. Also I may be able to make you cardboard cultures like in Rush Wayne's' hydrogen peroxide manuals. They should transport easily. I'm in S. Florida, USA, so PM me for specifics. I can also send you a culture syringe or a plate or two if you'd like. I send out of the country all the time from our farm to farmers in developing nations. I've never had a problem getting these through local customs, and I've sent to Nicaragua, Brazil, Mexico, Zimbabwe, Guyana, you name it. They're sent as research materials with no commercial value, so no taxes for you.

Thanks a lot for the offer, and thanks for sharing your pics! A spore print would be just great. I really doubt the prospect of getting in live mycelium, as here in NZ reishi is actually a prohibited species...we have very, very parinoid biosecurity issues. And the tightest customs controls in the world when it comes to organic matter. Probably kind of like trying to get a hand grenade into the US or something. So thats why I need to either use some spores or try to put some powdered reishi onto some agar plates and see how that goes.
Edit: I just read in a related post that they sell reishi in chinatown in vancouver. I'm going to be there in a couple of months so hopefully I will be able to collect a bunch of spores.

a lot of the stores in vancouver/victoria sell prepared rieshi (also, call it ling-zhi, its china town....rieshi is japanese). vancouver is easy to find actual mushrooms but even so when people grow these things (they will probably be from korea, all the ones i foudn were from korea) they often gather the spores while they are stil growing. so you can probably get some spores, but dont hold high hopes for a nice heavy print

Okay I know about reishi being prohibited. It's because it can apparently be parasitic sometimes. People in Florida (plant pathology people actually) got very uncomfortable with me growing Ganoderma in FL. Apparently some form of it parasitizes palm trees, so I can see the restriction. I do have some fruits still inside a filter patch bag growing with spores on them. I can print them for you today or tomorrow and I'll send them where ever you'd like to recieve them.
