I would recommend using only 5 Volts on your PC fan, it will still operate and move some air. If you have a computer power supply just use the 5 volts.

For all of the people who are telling you that your "petroluem product" spray is going to cause mutations, ignore them. The plastic that made your tray, the fan, the wire coating on the wires, the tubs you'll use, all plastic and all come from petroleum.

Haha, again, thank you all for the comments. I am pretty proud of this thing.
I am still working on keeping the humidity in there as well. It dropped by 10 in 12 hours. Not cool. I REALLY need some smoke bombs. Put on in there, then kick on the fan....see how long it takes to filter the entire smoke. Then add a minute, and there is my magic number.
Rahz, thats cool about those X10. My pc is REALLY far away from my tub though. However, I might look into them to put a time lapse wireless camera in there. har har har!

BMArts: Well the incubator is just a TiT in another corner. Those don't really look suspicious too me. Just a couple of tubs stacked, but something is in the bottom of the other, which causes it to be lopsided. No tie straps or strings.

THE GROW BEGINS
Welp, here is her maiden voyage. After spending a few days to get the humidity right, I decided to put my casings in there.
Poo, cased with 50/50/5/5 Verm/Peat/Coir/Shells
Although the pic looks like overlay, trust me, its not. This happened almost overnight. I am VERY happy with these results so far.
This is the first day in the fruiting chamber. Notice I used perlite to keep the humidity up.
Anyway, let the grow begin! Keep checking back for updates.
Friday, Feb. 17

Friday, Feb. 24 (1 week)
Numerous pinsets spotted. Will be a couple days before I can see if it is even or not.
Sunday, Feb. 26 (1 week, 2 days)
The pinset isn't that desireable. Despite the air exchange, I have noticed that the casing layer does dry out a bit. I have misted at least once a day to compensate, but it still seems like it wasn't that great.
Tuesday, Feb. 28 (1 week, 4 days)
Well, they are done, and the piset is crap.
Got 485 wet grams...
So what have I learned?
It seems the fan is too much, for forced FAE like this, the fan needs to not blow so fast, thus slowing down the air whizzing around the casings.
I had to mist once, sometimes twice, a day because the casing kept drying too quickly. I think this was a main reason for my crappy pinset. Parameters stayed in optimal range and everything else went well.

Very good job! My only Suggestion, do this with one of those tubs that are like twice as long as a normal tub. Then all the complexity of this project would be made up for in size. I'm currently working on a fully automated system, but not stealthy in the least.

whats the purpose of those pvc pipes ?? and where did u put the wet perlite ?? under those pvc pipes ??
in the completed picture of the chamber how did u cover the holes where the pvc pipes comes through on the outside ?? that def would look suspicious if theres a tub with 2 big holes on the bottom.

The original poster of this thread hasn't been to the shroomery in over two years, I don't think you're going to get an answer from him.
If you replace whatever you can with stuff from around the house, this project shouldn't cost more than $30.

Because this is a totally crappy excuse for a fruiting chamber.
