withdrawal after withdrawal after withrdawal
    #5292045 - 02/12/06 05:03 PM (17 years, 11 months ago)

:frown:
Stupid clonazapem has me more hooked then the fucking opium. Woke up in the most mindless urge to take the stuff, then any other withdrawal in my entire life. Now I know what a heroin injector feels. This includes alcohol and crack. Cleaned up myself from opium and weed, using as suggested by my psychiatrist clonazapam, 2mg every 4 hours. Yuck. Well anyway I have been totally and off the wall crazy from withdrawal and I profusely apologize to the community. I had to totally unplug and format my hard drive so I couldn't just go online and start hacking anything and everything and go completely insane.

Ouch, that sounds tough.
2mg every four hours seems like a lot! I have some family members who are dependent on klonopins. I have taken a lot of it over the years, but never enough to get withdrawals.
I tried using it back when I had bad heroin withdrawals. It never really helped too much with the h withdrawal. Most of the time I would use the klono recreationally. The only way that I was able to quit the opiates was to just fight through it by myself.
Replacing one addiction with another is not always the best thing.
I understand what you are going through and have been there. No matter how bad it gets, just keep in mind that it won't last forever. Also the further into it you get, the closer you are to being back to normal.
It can seem like it will never end, but once you reach the goal, you will feel so much better.
Well good luck with your situation.

Yes, withdrawal from that stuff is MUCH more dangerous than from opiates. Opiate withdrawal can be painful, but benzo (valium, lorazepam, clonazepam, etc...) withdrawal can cause halluciantions, delusions, strokes or death. Heroin withdrawal won't cause any of those things.

Talk to your psychiatrist about getting off the stuff. Quitting cold turkey is DANGEROUS, unlike quitting heroing, it can kill you. Hopefully your psychiatrist will be able to help you quit.
