Anyone ever try this?

For me I feel that it is easier to purchase the pf jars from this guy... mycomonsters (no direct linking to non shroomery sponsors -coda). I've bought from him off ebay but he also has a website... I was wondering if anyone has tried them... I've had some success but wondering if I did it myself it would be better... He says they are pressure cooked and everything and even sends them prepunctured... just wondering if anyone has any opinions or have used these jars or any other products from this guy... thanks guys

Make them yourself, cheaper. Not that hard to do.

uhhh....wal-mart dude, 40 bucks. And you can do PF without it. Boiling them has success to a degree. I got started in this hobby in college and never had to order anything from a vendor but syringes.

the whole point of the PF tek is you can do it without a PC. You are the reason it was invented, to grow in college, homes, campers, all that shit with them never needing to peel 40 to 80 bucks for the PC.

I bought some mycomonster pre sterilized jars, 4/6 got contammed. the other two never sprouted.
that may have been my lack of experience though.

a pressure cooker is definitely a worthy investment. PF Tek is fine, but you will quickly be looking for another way to produce more mushrooms. $40 for a PC and another $50 for some tenn stud and you can easily produce a QP with minimal results. When you do the math, see it as an investment, not a burden.

Couldn't have said it better myself. This hobby is addictive. One good PF style grow, and you'll be hooked, and looking for alternative grow teks which will give you better results. A good PC is the best investment you can make in regards to this hobby, and it allows you to move up to grains/poo, which IMHO is just as simple and fast, if not easier and faster, than the PF Tek. I started small like you, and now I've got 2 dozen 1/2 pint jars I never even use. GL.

I ordered from mycomonsters a couple times and shipping is really slow, but I got 6 pf jars from them the first time and 5 did awesome and 1 shtt the bed, for a total of 19 dried grams. This time I ordered their 'medium grow refil kit' which is basically sterilized casing and substrate for my next casing grow. I would reccomend them as their jars are the cheapest and work pretty well.
Also, yes it's addictive and a PC would be the best investment you could make in this industry (provided you don't live in a dorm room)

I mean i can understand people wanting to buy jars, but at some point, you're going to have to learn how to do them yourself. Once you have the space to dedicate to a real grow you'll realize how crappy PF cakes are.
The PF tek is great if you just want to grow a trip or two, but you cant beat pumping out 2 oz flushes with mushrooms that are about 4 x as strong as a PF style grow.
