I am trying to find people to go to bonnaroo with me. I have to go this year. It is so close to me and the bands are awesome.
I hate having broke friends and a snobbish husband! I want everyone I know to go.

Holy crap you do need to go!
It'll be a perfect year to go too, Radiohead is enough in themselves, but moe. and Beck and Medeski, Martin, and Wood, and Phil Lesh, and man oh man it's going to be awesome!

Oh nice, which CD? His style has changed a lot, but it's still very...Beck, and Beck=good in my book.

Hey man, have you gone in past years? I'm wondering what the situation with drug dogs is, if any. I've heard that in the area around Manchester the cops swarm like pigs to a mud puddle, but what about the entrance to the event itself?

I'd love to get with a group of Shroomerites and go, but the ticket prices there are too rich for me.

I have been every year since it started, and I have never had any problems with the police. not that I havent seen any though.
The only thing I have ever seen them check for at the gate were nitrous tanks, and they dont check that thoroughly, more like open your trunk and look at your floorboards. I dont know about driving there, since I am only 45 minutes away, but I have heard some places set up roadblocks or the likes the day of entrance trying to catch people driving to Bonnaroo with drugs.
The day leaving though is kind of sketchy, more people get busted leaving than arriving.
Once you hit Manchester though, you are safe, because that little town makes sooooooo much money, they love it. After the third year a manchester judge threw out 22 cases involving marijuana seizures related to Bonnaroo.
