Apparently three of my professors (my Brit Lit, Creative Writing, and American Lit) have nominated me to go studying abroad next semester -- all expenses paid -- in my choice of England, Wales, or Cyprus.
I will be graduating a bit later than I anticipated since I will only get 12-14 transfer credits and not my usual 18.
I was seriously considering Wales, since there's really no slummy parts.. Cyprus would be nice for the drugs (lsd especially), but that's not really why I'm going.
I'd love to go visit Westminster Abbey and leave this continent for once.
Anyone have experience in doing so, or any information to help me break the Wales/England tie?

Do it. You'll have a blast. You've got to look for the best place for you, though I'd guess wherever you end up you'll really like.

England's expensive. Do Cyprus, though you might get bored there.

Everything's paid for.. housing, books, classes, leisure..
I have an insurance settlement exceeding 20 grand coming to me soon, and I'll have the semester's spare tuition to play with, so money is not really an issue.

Hey Slip, yea its been awhile, I haven't been frequenting the boards as much. Six courses and some SBE (small business enterprise) contracts, along with landscaping/snow removal. Been a busy guy.

It's a no brainer between England and Wales - the Welsh are really weird.
I guess you'd be up in London if you were studying. Personally I hate it up there, but there's loads going on and you can do the whole sightseeing thing too.
I went to Cyprus for a week last year and I wouldn't want to stay any longer. The whole country seems really touristy and to be honest, the towns are real dumps. Didn't seem to be much going on student wise (nothing I was interested in doing anyway) . Plus it's a pretty expensive country. We went through half our holiday thinking everything was really cheap and spending loads... turns out we'd worked the exchange rates out the wrong way and everything was more expensive than back in the UK.
