Going to Atlantic City -- any gambling tips??

I understand that casino gambling greatly favors the house, but I remember once someone telling me there was one game where the odds are a bit friendlier than the others.
Do any of you know which game is better to increase my odds of winning??
Any gambling tips??
Thanks!!!

dont play roulette...
craps and blackjack have the best odds...
order two drinks at a time...
be prepared to have a set amount of money that you can lose and dont go in a casino with access to more than that.

Yeah I've seen some depressing shit in AC
I bring some cash if I go. No ATM card, just whatever I think I can drop and not be broke over.
Order drinks on the rocks, too, if you're a boozehound. The mixed drinks are weak.

Let me tell you a trick with roulette.
Bet on either black or red. If you lose, double the money you put on it. If you lose again double the money again, if you lose again double the money again. If you bet on the same colour, the chances of getting the other colour 10 times in a row or something is very unlikely. With this strategy, as long as you get your colour once after it, you'll get all your money back. And after each win you gotta start over. And remember to start very low. Also they might have some type of limit on each table, so watch out.
Although let me tell you, if it does pick the opposite colour consistantly, you'll be in trouble and can lose a lot of money.

that would only work on single deck blackjack, and maybe up to three deck blackjack if you were really good.
most casino's use 9 or 10 decks with atleast a 10 card cut and the top card placed away right off the bat. With that it pretty much screws the counting system.

don't hit over 17, split whenever you can, and always double eleven.

that is poo advice....
hitting depends on multiple things, the most important being what the dealer is showing... your place in the table also is a factor.
If the dealer is showing a 6 or lower, never hit past a 12. double down on 11 only if the dealer isnt showing a face card. and my own rule is split only if the dealer has a 7 or below showing (unless aces of course).

sit back, watch, learn.
dont play for a while, its actually fun to watch.
Usually what I do is bet on "let it ride", which means that if they dont crap out on their first throw, your money will be placed on that number shown on the dice. I keep doing this and watch the bets on numbers rack up, and when the person throws that number again, you win your money + odds.
Sometimes a person can not crap out for 40 throws and thats where you can make some money.
lots of other bets, and approaches, so best to just watch and talk to people there about it. usually at craps tables everyone fancies themself an expert and are willing to give advice.

That's why the experienced gambler will stalk the table and bet what's hot.

Always split aces and 8's in blackjack.
Best advice, buy a book on a game you're interested in. Black Jack is really simple if you can remember some key concepts. And if you can master the craft of card counting, casinos will fear you.
Don't be afraid to tell the dealer you're a newb (if you are).
But like someone said previously, your best odds at winning in a casino is at the craps and black jack tables (The house has less odds in those games).
If you plan on hitting the slots, do so under caution. Slots should be played out for atleast 25 dollars, IMO. If you play $25 and don't win money and you give up, someone will jump on that machine faster than baby shit to a blanket, because they know that machine is due. It's fun just to watch some of these people work the machines.
I stay away from the slot machines, my mom has the best luck ever when it comes to those damn things. Not me, I am a card man.

Blackjack is the only game where you can beat the house, but it takes real study to learn what the correct play is in every situation, and even that can change according to which rules they play at the particular casino. For instance, some casinos allow resplitting aces, some require the house to hit on soft 17, etc. Counting cards, by the way, can still be quite effective no matter how many decks they use or how many cards they burn. The trick is not to count specifically which cards come off, just whether they are high or low. Google for card counting strategies and read more about that.
NEVER play a table that says "Blackjack pays 6 to 5." Those are a scam. Blackjack should pay 3 to 2; 6 to 5 rules give the house a big advantage.
