I don't live near you, but I found these Amanitas near Sydney Australia.

The caps were up to 30cm.

Wish I'd had a camera & tape measure with me, to take a picture! I saw this thing from a block away, & thought it was a pumpkin. Big hemispherical faded-orange cap, musta been 20'' in diameter at least.

I have Amanitas all around my house. I never messed with them. All the people I talk to say they are poison.

Cool!! Finally another post about amanitas. I know it's not the right place, but did any of you had cool trips with amanitas? I Found smaller amanitas then the ones you guys found, but still very potent! My biggest could be 20 cm, but not more.

How did you make the "great nausea free tea"? Did you use dried mushrooms or fresh(as you say you just picked some). Thank you in advance!

no stems or gills just flesh of the cap and the skin
put it in mah toaster over for about an hour cracked open flip em over same thing, put em in the ole mortar and pestle put it in a tea ball type thing i fashioned let em brew just under the point of bubbles for an hour maybe less if im eager. I use the stems and gills and cook em in food and they dont seem to bug me. Add some ginger and lemon juice to the tea afterwards use less the fresher your spices, nutmeg helps as well to knock out those lil buggers that start brawls in your stomach.

Big mushrooms are great to look at, but I have found sometimes the small shrooms have the best kick. You should never expect the size to rule the potency.
