I was fruiting my cakes in my glass aquarium, and this was working pretty good, and i was cruising around the Shroomery's faqs and other advise from growers and what not and i decide to try and use a big ass rubbermaid tote to house the casings im gonna try and make work, so i go out and get a big 22 gal tote and add the perlite right, with water and h2o2 and everything and i throw the lid on this sucker right and put the remote sensor from my little thermometer/humidity meter and let it sit overnite and today there aint shit for humidity in there my humidity meter thing bottoms out at 20% and thats what its sittin at now, so i figure that its not air tight right? why else wouldn't the humidity stay in right? any advise for sealing this puppy would be greatly appreciated. thanx

caulk, weather strippind or rubber gasket, whatever. 20% humidity is pretty fucking unbelievable. i would check my hygrometer if i were you. 20% is SO low. the room the thing is in is prob over 20% relative humidity.

Usually the remote sensor is for TEMPERATURE only. you have to put the actually meter inside the box for it the measure humidity.
