HELP ME! 2 weeks, no mycelium

I've been incubating my jars for two weeks and no mycelium. Followed the PF tek with one exception: A guy I know who used to grow them recommended that I put the jars in zip-lock bags so I could maintain the humidity (my place is dry and cool, so I had to get a heating element to maintain temps) and minimize contamination. This is my first time, so I've been taking the jars out of the box (where I keep them to keep them dark) to check on growth. Whould either of those effect growth? Anyway to salvage this? Or am I just panicing pre-maturely?

The verm layer that you added on top of the subtrate is suppose to prevent contams and they need some air exchange to get rid of the gasses that the mycelium produce. They need fresh air, that what I was told anyway.

Yep, take those out of the bags. They really need some fresh air.
I think he might have been referring to the Fruiting stage with that method...

I had a batch of 12 jars and at the two week mark came with no mycelium growth, then like 3 days after that, it just went straight to 40-50 percent.
Also, i used a diff BRF on 5 of the jars, and none of those grew at all. Well, i got a couple of spots the size of a dime, then it stopped. damn sun harvest bulk BRF.

first of all stop taking them out of the box, you need to be patient. Second how did you inject your jars, are you covering your innoc. points with tape or are you using a filter? what temp. are you keeping your jars at? We need more info. to help! what are you using for your substrate?

light will cause premature pinning and might slow growth, so dont take them out of the dark.

you don't need to worry about your humidity for your jars and your temperature isnt that important for incubation my jars fully colonized in just over 4 weeks in about 60 degrees and the ones at around 75-80 in about 3, ultimately just take them out of the bag and let them chill
