New casing mix

I'm gonna give this stuff a whirl. I just cased a tub of straw with it. I will follow up in the next week with progress.

Ingredients are as follows: This product is formulated from 50-60% sphagnum peat moss, coconut husk fibers (coir pirth), composted bark fines, perlite, a wetting agent, and fertilizer.

Please let me know if any of you have used this product. I got it at Wal-Mart. This is the first time I've seen it there so it may be pretty new.

It will probably work, but the fertilizer is usually not a good idea. Just a basic Peat:perlite, or peat: vermiculite will work fine. The addition of Lime is usually a good idea just to keep the PH in check with the Peat. I live in south Florida, and I use my tap water. It's PH is very high, and I never even use the Lime. Probably be beneficial if you have alot of Casing contamination problems to use the LIME. I Don't.
If your trying to grow something that will take along time to fruit, or producing sclerotia in the casing layer over months, then the addition of both Lime, and Coarse limestone, or oystershells, will definetly be beneficial.
