one of dud'e three casings (KS, rye berries, 50/50) has a case of the sweet/stinky feet smell. it has been isolated but is starting to pin just the same as the other two unstinky ones. if it bears fruits that appear healthy, will they actually contaminated by the bacteria or its waste? i've searched for this in the archives, but outside of the fact that stinky=bacteria, i can't find any answers. has anyone actually gotten fruits from a smelly casing before? and were they edible w/o ill effects?

Sure you can eat them, but youre taking your lifie into your own hands. My rule is, at the first sign of contams (especially bacteria) toss your cakes/casings outside (spread the seed, you know). If it smells that bad then it is way too far gone. Suck it up and toss that shit.

thanks. you're right its not worth risking illness or death. dude's just going through some sort of denial over throwing out his otherwise perfect casing. in the trash it goes.

If you isolated that casing you could have let it fruit and still used the caps for spore prints. Peace

You'd eat them? Then no wonder you chose the avitar you did.
