OOPS? Is it that bad

I need some advice here. I used perlite instead of vermuculite in pf tec, so far so good I have lost only 1 jar to contamination the rest are almost fully colonized. I had a bag labeled vermuculite, after buying some of both thats when I discovered my mistake. has any one had any problems or luck with my situation. I havent found A TECH that covers this PLEASE HELP???? BUD.....................

Well if they are almost fully colonized then I would say good job.

I did the same thing with a couple of cakes. They colonized fine (although it seemed to take a lot longer). I had two. I used one to colonize some rye and made a casing.
The other I birthed into my terrarium. Three weeks and no pinning. It looks heathy as heck but maybe there's not enough water inside the cake. Perlite soaks up water like mad. When I lifted it up it felt very light and airy. Maybe you'll have better luck than me.
