Ive done that before, waited about 6 months later to actualy file. I knew I had a refund coming so when I got my check I was glad that I waited. Just in time for Christmas.

Youve got 3 years to file---if you are getting a refund.

Yeah, I even used to work in a tax prep office part time, which makes it even more sad how lazy I am.

very little. I'll probably have to pay.

Technically, since my salary comes from a federal grant, my income is $0. Then I have some capital gains to pay. ugh.
